Ms. Rania Gamal is a doctoral Research Fellow in Irrigation Water Management at International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), she is ICARDA focal point for CORDOVA-ET station in NENA region, Data analysis for the flux towers for the ET-Network, Team member of ICARDA-led Initiative “Enhancing water productivity by improving on-farm Irrigation management”, Team member for “Date Palm Improvement” Project in GCC countries. Working on introducing solar-powered drip irrigation, subsurface irrigation and energy balance-based irrigation scheduling.She also has an extensive experience in irrigation and drainage system design and optimization testing. She received her B.Sc. And M.Sc.  From Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, Ain Shams University, Egypt and recently she is Conducting field researches in mechanized raised-bed technology to improve water productivity and researches in reuse of treated wastewater for irrigation.
